The "Edge city" of Charlotte.

South Park defines itself as the Edge City of Charlotte.  An American term for a concentration of business, shopping, and entertainment outside a traditional downtown, or central business district. The name South Park was derived from the upscale South Park Mall, which opened in the 70s. It's home of the largest shopping mall in all of North Carolina. This neighborhood employs 70,000 people.

Vibrant, Stimulating, and Connected are three words that perfectly sum up the South Park community.  It's so centrally located in the grand scheme of things, it is inevitable you'll find yourself in the area.  It's where business and pleasure collide, it's coined the retail nirvana of Charlotte.

It's less than five miles from Uptown Charlotte, and the community spans across a large area with all types of neighborhoods.  You'll find nice standard, new construction, and renovated homes along with million-dollar estates.
